| End of month news. |
![]() News from the front! Lads of the 6th Airborne Division, I will now be posting these news feeds at the end of each month in order to keep you up to date on everything within the unit, and outside of it. First things first: Discharges
our unit has always been strict on recruitment and activity when enlisted, we prefer quality over quantity, and single out those who are committed and those who aren't. At the end of every month during the news feed, discharges will be written out. If you are unable to attend a training you must report to your Drill Instructor, or for those who are enlisted, to your section leaders or commanding officers. I'll just make myself clear, we are clamping down on those who are making the effort and those who aren't, the Beta will arrive soon and places will be limited, we must set an example!. Welcome! I'd like to welcome some new additions to the unit,
I wish you all the best with your basic training, and I hope you all pursue yourselves far in the Division, good luck fuckers. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Changes Recently Division HQ decided to again give more rights to you guys as individuals to suggest changes or additions to the unit. An interesting suggestion was to of course change the Basic Rifleman ribbon to a more suited Commodation. Thanks to Pfc. Macmillan we have finally changed the BR Ribbon to the British Airborne Parachutist Badge. We will no longer have a basic rifleman ribbon, the parachutist badge represents a member who has passed all grades of basic training, therefore there is no need to signify the basic rifleman. However, in it's place another new ribbon will be added, 'Advanced Rifleman'. I will award the new badge out next week, of course I have to go through each and every enlisted member on the roster and add them, so It will take some time. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Front Page Art! for all you photoshop nerds, I'm still adamently needing a nice new front page post for recruitment, currently we are using Pfc. Macmillan's because that is the only decent submission we've had, the recruitment post must fit the front page, be of an authentic WW2 style, and of course represent the unit. Please post these either in the unit gallery, or PM them to me! ____________________________________________________________________________________ Donations and Forum Use I'd like to thank you all for your contributions towards financing the unit, it really does keep us in balance with everything. Without a server or a website we wouldn't be able to function as a unit and would ultimately fail, so thanks again and a big thanks to Pfc. Thomson! however, I'd still like a constant flow of donations to keep the servers up, it needs to be done. As for the forums, we recently paid off the renewal ammount but I'm quite dissapointed to see that the forum use statistics have dropped down dramatically. If your a recruit, using the forums is key to getting known and eventually earning you a field promotion, I'm not saying sit on your fat arses everyday and post random shit, but making little suggestions towards the unit or making yourself known really let's us know up in Division HQ that you want to be here, so please boys and girls, use the bastard forums. That is all. Yours sincerely, Major S.Bates 6th Airborne Division 3rd Parachute Brigade 9th Parachute Battalion Able Company. Div/HQ. Posted by Maj.
