News from the front!
Members of the 6th Airborne,
We are here yet again with another post regarding news within the unit. The current month has been a hectic one in relation to the new beta release, porting over maps, trainings, matches etc but as a unit, we pulled through. I'd firstly like to congratulate you all on your recent victory against the mighty 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, you all fought well, and consistently at all costs. I believe as a unit in Alpha 4, we stamped our name into the stone and proved we were the finest unit in RNL. However, now it's time to move on.
Beta 1.1
The new release so far has been some what impressive, I feel rather 50/50 on the new community that has come with it, but don't forget this is not the release, and still will attract some like minded individuals further down the line.
I must say, being the finest unit in RNL:Alpha 4, you would think we would carry on that reputation into the Beta, but so far I'm un-impressed with the contributions of the unit towards the new version, and getting us out there. We have a server, of which I never see any 6th Airborne members populating, instead the majority of you (5-7 guys) are populating other servers, which really isn't on... We don't expect you to donate every month and not use the server, so I suggest you lads start making the effort to use it. I appreciate that it's crashing due to the new patch, but now and then the server is stable and still I still 6th Airborne members playing on other servers, we need to address this issue and populate our server!!
Player Conduct
This is where I'm currently most annoyed. I don't know what's been going on down in the training section, but the recent batch of enlisted and fucking up beyond all recognition, and I will not tolerate it. Screaming over your mics like children, spamming bugle sounds, and representing the unit badly will not go unpunished. I've always said that we are a fun unit, but don't forget we are a realism unit and have to show a level of maturity and seriousness to attract good quality players, therefore talking like a child, and giggling like a school girl every 10 seconds isn't tolerable, sort it out, I'm starting to consider bunking the age limit up to 18+ otherwise.
Standards
In the 6th AB, we have always had a reputation of being a 'Difficult Unit' to get into, why? because it filters the boys from men, and quality from quantity. We strive for the best players, and the best players is what we usually have, however I'm not impressed with the recent ease the majority of recruits are getting in passing out as Privates, so therefore Division HQ will review training methods, and will see where the drill instructors are going wrong.
Promotions
There will be no promotions this month, due to the aforementioned. This month we will be observing enlisted for the NCO positions.
